Junior High School Curriculum Programme
Cogdel Cranleigh School Changsha (CCSC) implements IB MYP in middle school with eight discipline groups being offered, which includes Language and Literature (e.g. Chinese), Language Acquisition (e.g. English as a second language), Individual and Societies, Science, Mathematics, ArtS, Physical Education and Health education, as well as Design, we focus on intellectual challenges and encourage students to establish a link between traditional learning and real world exploration. We aim to help students enhance communication skills and promote cross-cultural understanding and enhance students' awareness of global participation, which are essential qualities for young people to become global leaders. In addition, in order to further develop students' bilingual skills, CCSC also provides such courses as Global Issues , Science Fusion and English Speaking course with English as the main instruction language.
Junior High School Curriculum:
●Enable students thrive in intelligence, social, emotional and physical aspects in an integrated way;
●Provide opportunities for students to gradually acquire the knowledge, attitudes and skills they need to deal with complex affairs and take responsible actions in the future;
●Ensure the breadth and depth of understanding through learning in eight discipline groups and interdisciplinary learning;
●Require learning at least two languages (Teaching Language and selected foreign language) to support students to understand their own culture and others' culture;
●Enable students to participate in service activities in the community;
Help students prepare for further study, work and lifelong learning in the future.
